Reviews and Ratings
The hotel was beyond our expectations, with quaint rooms featuring a fireplace, fridge, Nespresso machine, and WiFi. The staff were friendly and proud to work here. The location is excellent, right in the middle of everything, despite some noise from a nearby unit. The dining experience was cozy and delicious, worth the wait. The facility is great, embracing a hill with stunning views and close to shopping and dining.
The hotel offers beautifully decorated rooms with a comfortable bed and lovely furnishings, though access to the pool and spa areas requires a walk down the main street in robes. The rooms are cozy and of a good size. The service is friendly, knowledgeable, and super accommodating. The location is right in the center of the heritage area of Niagara-on-the-Lake, providing easy access to shops and Lake Ontario, though the evenings might have overly bright lighting. The dining experience is delicious, especially the breakfast, while service in the restaurant is professional.
The hotel offers lovely rooms with thoughtful details like fresh oranges and roses, afternoon tea with a view, but faced delays during check-in and had a poor TV channel selection. A point for a bucket list with a fabulous atmosphere.
I was so excited to stay at this hotel as it is in a prime location in the heart of Niagara on the Lake. The rooms, though not air-conditioned, were absolutely charming and the baths were beautifully updated. However, I was a bit chilly upon arrival as the room was 62 degrees F. The short walkway from the sidewalk leading out to the action was convenient, making up for the initial chilliness.
Staying at the hotel was a mixed experience. The rooms, although a bit outdated, were clean and comfortable, but the detached location from the main building was inconvenient. The service, especially in Churchill Lounge, was over the top helpful and very kind. The central downtown location was bustling and wonderful, offering a nice little hike down to town but lacked some maintenance. Dining, although with excellent dishes, took longer than expected. Overall, the facilities were satisfactory but had room for improvement.
I had a mixed experience at the hotel. The rooms were beat up and outdated, and some were very small. However, the service, facility, and overall experience were exceptional, deserving 5 stars. I'm already looking forward to returning for the holiday season.
The hotel was not in the main part of the hotel, right under the heating system, which we heard constantly but was up one flight overlooking a rooftop. The service was fantastic, with staff going the extra mile to make us feel welcome, pouring us a glass of the town's best. The location was great, close to all wineries and bustling Niagara on the Lake, but with limited seating. The dining was hearty and well-prepared, especially the breakfast, considering the cost. The facilities were convenient with good value for money.
I was initially placed in the attached building, not the main hotel, but overall, the stay had its ups and downs. The rooms were a bit small and had some issues with old carpet foam, but the service was welcoming and eager to assist. The location was fantastic, offering a great experience in the heart of town, yet there were some noise concerns. The dining experience was superb, with delicious traditional meals. The hotel facilities were convenient, despite some room for improvement.
Being right under the heating system was a constant disturbance, which was disappointing given the price we paid. However, the room had a very Victorian charm with an exceptionally comfortable bed. It had all the necessary amenities without unnecessary clutter.
